Remarkable Places to Eat at Christmas
Michel Roux Jr takes Fred Sirieix for a Christmas treat in his favourite British city, Bristol. First up is a French bistro where they enjoy a stunning cote de boeuf and Michel makes aligot, known as the best mashed potato in the world. The duo then enjoy a swim in one of Britain's oldest lidos, which has an award-winning restaurant serving up a delicious breakfast. Escaping to the countryside, they visit a hotel and restaurant where Fred makes buffalo mozzarella, while Michel samples the hotel's own cider, before a return to the city and the multicultural neighbourhood of St Paul's, where they learn to cook Caribbean jerk turkey.

Wildlife cameraman Gordon Buchanan hopes to get closer to wild wolves than anyone before to discover the true nature of this feared predator and heads to the north of Canada in search of a pack that has never seen people and so has no fear of humans. He begins to gain the trust of an Arctic wolf family and as time passes becomes accepted by the pack, including a female and its three newborn pups, and has some close encounters that reveal a softer side to the animals.
